This drop follows the post-pandemic cooling trend, when the yachting boom saw record numbers. However, the ships <strong id=\"\">for private use<\/strong> remain the vast majority (73.6%), while the <strong id=\"\">yacht charter<\/strong> (rent) represents 26.4%.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">What does this mean for ports?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"\">That the demand is still active, but with a more demanding user profile, who is not only looking for a mooring, but <strong id=\"\">value-added services<\/strong>improved experiences and a more agile and digital management.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\u200d<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Small lengths continue to dominate<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p id=\"\">The segment of the <strong id=\"\">up to 6 meters<\/strong> represents 71.3% of the registrations. This is important because these types of vessels tend to have a higher turnover and require simple and fast processes when arriving at the port.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">How do we translate it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"\">  Simple and agile digital processes: online check-in, direct guidance to the mooring, self-service.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">  Clear and visible information in the app, adapted to occasional users or new navigators.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\u200d<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Motorboats and jet skis, the undisputed leaders in the field<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p id=\"\">Regarding <strong id=\"\">types of vessels<\/strong>the <strong id=\"\">jet skis<\/strong> (22.4%) and the <strong id=\"\">motor boats<\/strong> (44.9%) continue to lead the market, although both are down in registrations from last year. The surprise comes from the <strong id=\"\">folding pneumatics<\/strong>which grew by 50%, indicating a boom in users looking for <strong id=\"\">simpler and more affordable boats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Where is the activity concentrated?<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">If we look at the map, <strong id=\"\">Balearic Islands, Barcelona and Alicante<\/strong> lead the registrations. Barcelona grew by 34% and Alicante by 29.7%, which shows that these areas maintain a strong attraction for recreational boating.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">What can ports learn from this data?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p id=\"\">\t1.\t<strong id=\"\">Digitization is not an option, it is a necessity:<\/strong> With a fast moving market and more connected users, having manual processes or inaccessible information is no longer viable.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\t2.\t<strong id=\"\">Service is part of the experience:<\/strong> It's not just about offering a mooring, it's about creating a complete digital experience, from booking to check-out.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\t3.\t<strong id=\"\">Customization is key:<\/strong> Patterns of use vary according to the type of vessel and user profile (private owner vs. charter).
