What are we looking for?

Ports.tech is looking for a young professional with a passion for geographic information systems (GIS) and the nautical world to join our team in the development of innovative solutions for port management. If you are enthusiastic about digital cartography, spatial analysis and the development of geographic tools applied to navigation and port management, this is an opportunity to combine your technical knowledge with a dynamic and innovative environment.

What will you do?

- Collaborate with our development team in the design and creation of port maps for our project. PortView.

- Contribute to the implementation of nautical charts in the application.

- Design, implement and optimize maps and geographic information layers on our platform.

- Integrate external data sources and develop interactive solutions for visualization and decision making.

- Assist in the problem identification and solution related to mapping and its performance in the application.

What are we looking for?

- Education in Geography and Land Management, Environmental Sciences, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.

- Knowledge in nautical charts and in the development of vectorial cartography.

- Interest in the nautical sector.

- Handling of design tools and GIS software such as QGis or ArcGis. 

- Knowledge of the Python programming language is an asset.
